Immersion Holiday opportunity.

Last year, Aberdeen u3a had a successful "immersion week" in Tours organised through a local company, Horizons du Monde Travel. It was a real success. Our u3a French Group is invited to join with the Aberdeen Group for another "immersion week", this time in Rouen. Members have the opportunity to either stay with a local family or stay in modest hotel accommodation. Full details are in the Conversational French section on the "Groups" page of this website.

Members were recently asked to complete a questionnaire about interest in groups that were currently dormant and the proposal that a Spanish group be formed. Thanks to those members that filled in their forms and returned them. Your committee will act on the information provided by our members.

Click on the button to download a copy of the Questionnaire if you have yet to complete it.

Great News for those interested in Current Affairs. Our Current Affairs Group is now up and running. See the "Groups" page for details.

On Wednesday, 20th November, PC Richard Russell, from Police Scotland, presented a “Fraud and Scam Roadshow” at our regular monthly meeting.

This was a fascinating and informative talk which was of real relevance to those u3a members who are not completely comfortable with modern technology. Many, very useful, leaflets and booklets were made available, free of charge, to our members.

For those members who were unable to attend but might find some of the literature helpful to avoid being a victim of fraud and scams, you are not too late. You can still find out about the literature available and how to obtain your copy by clicking on the big button.

On Wednesday 19th March,2025, we had a very interesting talk on the "Whales and Dolphins of the Moray Firth" from Lorna Hall, the Education Coordinator from the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society. Download a leaflet about this charity, based at Spey Bay, by clicking on the buttons on the right.
